The Community Council of South Central Texas management, staff and Board Members attended the Annual Texas Association of Community Action Agencies (TACAA) Conference in San Antonio on May 16th-18th. Each year, Community Action Agencies throughout the state of Texas come together to discuss new funding requirements and changes, best practices, agency challenges and future opportunities, while focusing on ways to better serve the clients throughout their service areas.

Troop 361 donated Girl Scout cookies for the Wilson County Aging/Nutrition Program.
On May 21, 2014 Med Team, Inc conducted a presentation of their services to the Seniors at the Aging Center in Seguin, Texas. After their presentation, they had a fun activity for the seniors present – a game of chicken bowling.
CCSCT, Inc. Head Start is currently accepting applications for the 2014-2015 school year.
On February 14, 2014, in Wilson County, the Aging Program was pleasantly surprised by Randolph Brooks in Floresville during their lunchtime.
Recently the local WIC agency participated in WIC Olympic Games, a 6 week competition filled with activities for every fitness level.

The third annual Feast of Sharing was held in Brackettville was held on November 16, 2013 at the Kinney County Civic Center. Robert Aguirre, who works in the Kinney County area, was one of the 150 volunteers who served more than 1,000 people in approximately three and a half hours.
