Benefits & Perks

Below is a summary of the benefits offered to full-time agency employees of Community Council of South Central Texas, Inc. Employees are eligible for all benefits the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Medical Insurance– We contribute $450.00 per month towards a medical plan of the employee’s choice. The employee has the option of 3 medical plans.

Dental Insurance– We offer a fully insured dental plan as a voluntary benefit that the employee can elect at their cost. The employee has the option of 2 dental plans.

Vision Insurance– We offer a fully insured vision plan as a voluntary benefit that the employee can elect at their cost.

Life Insurance– We pay 100% of the cost for Basic Life and AD&D for an employee in the amount of 1 x the employee’s annual salary. The employee has the opportunity to elect additional life insurance on themselves, their spouse and their children at their cost.

Freshbenies– We pay 100% of the cost for employees to be a part of a discount card program, which provides additional benefits and services to an employee AND THEIR FAMILY (even if not covered under a medical plan). Services include 24/7 access to a doctor through Teledoc, Prescription Discounts and advocacy support including Medical Bill Saver and Medical Health Advisor.

Supplemental Insurance– We offer supplemental polices such as Accident, Critical Illness, and Long Term Disability, through Assurant Employee Benefits. These policies would all be a voluntary benefit and at the employee’s cost.

Paid Time Off- Full-time employees enjoy 5 weeks of paid leave in their first year (this includes 12 paid holidays, one day off during the month of their birthday, and accrued annual and sick leave).

Bereavement Pay- We provide employees up to 3 working days paid leave in the event of the death of an immediate family member.

Retirement– We offer a 403(b) retirement plan that an employee can elect to participate in on the first day of hire. After one year of employment, CCSCT will match dollar for dollar what an employee has elected to defer, up to 5% of their salary.

Training and Professional Development- CCSCT encourages employees to attend training outside of the agency when the training will benefit the agency and its programs and will pay 100% of the cost, when funding is available.
