Community Council of South Central Texas Covid-19 Relief Program

About the Program:

The Covid-19 Relief Program will provide relief to people whose employment has been disrupted by economic changes caused by COVID-19 thus resulting in a monthly household income of 150% or below the poverty level. Relief can include utility payment assistance for electricity, gas and propane as well as utility payments that most programs do not cover (water, sewer, deposits, and late fees). Assistance can include gift cards to buy prescriptions, personal hygiene products, infant supplies, and cleaning/disinfecting supplies.

Emergency Rental Assistance Program:

About the Program:

To provide direct client assistance to Low Income Households economically impacted by COVID-19. The impact includes but is not limited to lost wages, increased childcare costs because of school closures, or higher utility bills because of longer hours in the home. Eligible activities could also include grocery or meal delivery for those who are unable to leave their homes. One month of rent may also be an eligible activity.

Covid-19 Emergency Response Rental Assistance-“Set Aside” HOME TBRA  Program

About the Program:

The Covid-19 Emergency Response-“Set Aside” HOME TBRA will provide relief to people whose employment has been disrupted by economic changes caused by COVID-19 thus resulting in a monthly household income of 200% or below the poverty level. Relief can include security deposits, utility deposits, and rental assistance of 3 months.

Tenant Based Rental Assistance 

About the Program:

The purpose of the Single Family HOME Program is to expand the supply of decent, safe, affordable housing to eligible low-income households. CCSCT is qualified to also provide assistance with set aside funding for Disaster Relief and Persons with Disabilities. TBRA provides the following services to eligible individuals in local communities: Security and Utility Deposits; and Rental Subsidies for up to 24 months while the household engages in a self-sufficiency program.
