DESCRIPTION:Community Council of South Central Texas\, Inc. (Community Service Program) is conducting a children’s coat/ heater drive to provide assistance to low income families in Guadalupe County. CCSCT will be accepting new coats for children and heaters of any size. Donations may be dropped off at 1201 W Court in Seguin between 8am-12 pm and 1pm-5 pm Monday thru Friday and will be accepted until Wednesday\, December 7\, 2016. Distribution will be on a first come first serve basis on December 9\, 2016 from 9 am-12pm and 1pm-3 pm. Interested families must bring photo ID\, proof of residency and food stamp letter. DESCRIPTION:The Community Council of South Central Texas (CCSCT) is excited to announce the first CCSCT Business and Government Luncheon- “Strengthening Communities” event. The event will be held at the Seguin-Guadalupe County Coliseum\, July 20\, 2016 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. \nThe event will feature Texas Secretary of State Carlos H. Cascos as the Keynote Speaker. CCSCT plans to bring Elected Officials\, business leaders\, and the general public together in an effort to better understand how we can all work together to strengthen our communities. \nCCSCT was founded on May 11\, 1965 as a private\, nonprofit Community Action Agency. The creation of the Agency was built on President Lyndon B. Johnson’s historic declaration of the “War on Poverty”. CCSCT\, Inc. is dedicated to empowering low-income families and individuals in South Central Texas by helping them transition out of poverty and become self-sufficient. The organization does this by providing comprehensive health\, nutrition and social service programs that support families and individuals throughout the transition period. \nSponsorships\, Corporate Tables are available.
