On Friday, May 30, 2014, Community Council of South Central Texas, Inc. hosted a meet and greet with Elected Officials, CCSCT Board Members, staff and clients who transitioned out of poverty to commemorate Community Action Month and the 50th year of Community Action and the war on poverty.

Several cities in the CCSCT coverage area proclaimed the month of May as Community Action month including the cities of: Bandera, Boerne, Del Rio, Floresville, and Seguin. The counties of Comal and Edwards proclaimed May as Community Action month also.
