2ND Annual Auction for Action to be held this Month

Community Council of South Central Texas helps put a, “Halt,” to Veteran Homelessness with Online Auction.

South Central, TX: CCSCT is proud to announce their upcoming online auction to raise funds to help local Veterans. This year, the Veterans Financial Assistance Program will transport you to the Great Outdoors, with sports equipment and camping themed items. Bidding begins March 21, 2022 through March 25, 2022 on the charity auction ap, “Better World.” Last year, the event raised $4,000 from the auction, and $2,000 in private donations. All funds raised will continue to benefit the Veteran’s Financial Assistance Program.

Veterans Financial Assistance Program Coordinator, Kenneth Loy, expresses the importance of the fundraising efforts, “…we are raising funds to prevent homelessness amongst vulnerable Veterans.  Your donation will be used to stabilize housing and ensure access to utilities and transportation by Honorably discharged Veterans.”

Auction items were donated from the surrounding communities- ranging from Custom Fishing Rods to a Black Stone Grill. Supporters will place their bids all week, leading up to the last few seconds when the auction closes at 7pm on March 25th.
