Veterans Financial Assistance Program
About the Program:
The Veterans’ Financial Assistance Program provides short-term emergency financial assistance to eligible Veterans, Veterans’ Dependents, and Surviving Spouses. Through this program, CCSCT may assist with one-time emergency expenses, subject to funding availability. Eligible assistance may include:
- Utility payments, such as electricity, natural gas, propane, water, sewer, trash services, and applicable late fees.
- Housing expenses, including rent or mortgage payments, late fees, application fees, and security deposits.
Eligibility is not determined by poverty guidelines or a specific income level. Instead, applicants must demonstrate a financial need by explaining the circumstances of their financial hardship or emergency and signing a statement attesting to the crisis.
