CCSCT Staff Accept Leadership Roles at State Association

The Community Council of South Central Texas management, staff and Board Members attended the Annual Texas Association of Community Action Agencies (TACAA) Conference in San Antonio on May 16th-18th. Each year, Community Action Agencies throughout the state of Texas come together to discuss new funding requirements and changes, best practices, agency challenges and future opportunities, while focusing on ways to better serve the clients throughout their service areas.

CCSCT Participates in Lifeline’s Free Cell Phone Distribution Event

Since 1985, the Lifeline program has provided a discount on phone service for qualifying low-income consumers to ensure that all Americans have the opportunities and security that phone service brings, including being able to connect to jobs, family and emergency services.

CCSCT Ribbon Cutting

On July 18th, 2015, CCSCT participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the joining of the Seguin Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

WIC Attends Power of Influence Training

In February, WIC staff attended the Power of Influence of training in Victoria. One of the suggestions from the training, was to make a creative bulletin board with all of the staff and display it in the reception area. Click post to view image.

CCSCT Awarded Grant

Community Council of South Central Texas, Inc. is the recent recipient of a $7,500 grant for the Women, Infant and Children program awarded by the Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio.
