CCSCT Launches Emergency Flood Relief for Guadalupe, Kerr & Kendall Counties

Community Action Agencies Join Forces to Support Texas Hill Country Recovery

KERRVILLE, TX – In response to the devastating flooding that has impacted communities across the Texas Hill Country, Community Council of South Central Texas (CCSCT) is mobilizing vital relief for Kerr and Kendall County residents. Some flooded areas of Guadalupe County are also being assisted.

Thanks to funding from the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) and support from Vistra Corp., CCSCT is providing direct emergency assistance to flood victims to meet critical needs.

“As a Community Action Agency, it is our responsibility to react and respond to disasters within our service delivery area,” said CCSCT Executive Director Bobby Deike. “We take pride in providing assistance to those affected by this devastating flood. CCSCT will be here for the community throughout this disaster response and beyond.”

CCSCT is currently providing assistance at the Texas Department of Emergency Management’s Recovery Center located in the First Baptist Church Gym on 625 Washington St., Kerrville, TX 78028. In addition, they have a mobile schedule visiting surrounding areas, please keep checking the agencies social media for locations and schedules.

Available Flood Relief Services:

  • Emergency Shelter (hotel stays for displaced residents)
  • HEB Gift Cards for:
    ✓ Food
    ✓ Personal care items
    ✓ Cleaning supplies
    ✓ Fuel
  • Utility Assistance (light bill payment)
  • “Muck Buckets” filled with heavy-duty cleaning supplies for home recovery

In the spirit of collaboration that defines the Community Action network, CCSCT has also received support from neighboring agencies, including:

  • Combined Community Action (CCA)
  • Greater East Texas Community Action Program (GETCAP)
  • Panhandle Community Services (PCS)

Their partnership has helped amplify resources and ensure a broader response to the growing needs of flood-affected families across Texas.
