Community Council of South Central Texas will host an, “Auction for Action,” to prevent Veteran Homelessness.

South Central,Texas: Community Council of South Central Texas is requesting the support of the community to help put an end to Veteran Homelessness. As of today, over 100 veteran families across 16 area counties have received much needed funding through CCSCT’s Veteran’s Financial Assistance Program to remain in their homes; however, the organization believes they can do more with your help.

Starting on February 8, 2021, CCSCT will host their “Auction for Action,” an online auction to raise much needed funding to continue assisting vulnerable Veterans. The auction will take part on the Mobile Fundraising Ap, “Better World,” where patrons can browse items and register to bid online. Items were graciously donated by community partners such as; Karnes Electric Cooperative, Jordan Ford, Harbor Freight, Natural Bridge Caverns, Messina Hof, The Alcalde Hotel, Skeeter Boats, Magic Bait, The Home Depot, Vaughn, Tractor Supply, Napa Auto Parts, Henry Rifles, Black Rifle Coffee Company and more.

Veterans Program Coordinator, Kenneth Loy, expresses the importance of the fundraising efforts, “…we are raising funds to prevent homelessness amongst vulnerable Veterans. Your participation will be used to stabilize housing and ensure access to utilities and transportation by Honorably discharged Veterans.”

Our Veterans’ Financial Assistance Program helps eligible Veterans, Veteran Dependents, and Surviving Spouses.
