A convenient and flexible way to give—allowing donors to recommend grants directly from their donor‑advised fund.

Making the transition is simple:

  1. Contact your DAF administrator and recommend a grant to Community Council of South Central Texas Inc (Tax ID: 74-1541774).
  2. Specify the amount and frequency of your gift.
  3. Notify Janet Torres at info@ccsct.org of your generous contribution so we can properly thank you and acknowledge your support.

Many employers offer matching gift programs that can double—or even triple—your impact. Check with your employer’s HR or benefits department to see if they participate in workplace giving programs.

For donors 70.5 and older, an IRA gift is one of the smartest ways to give. Up to $111,000 per year transfers directly to CCSCT, and satisfies your required minimum distribution, and is never added to your taxable income.

Making a QCD is simple:

  1. Contact your IRA custodian and request a Qualified Charitable Distribution to:
Community Council of South Central Texas, Inc Tax ID: 74-1541774
  2. Specify the amount you would like to distribute.
  3. Notify us of your generous gift so we can properly acknowledge your contribution (QCDs may not always include donor information).

Life Insurance: You can name the Community Council of South Central Texas Inc as the beneficiary—or co‑beneficiary—of an existing life insurance policy. CCSCT will receive the policy proceeds as a charitable bequest upon passing. If you choose to transfer ownership of a paid‑up life insurance policy to CCSCT and relinquish all rights of ownership, you may also be eligible for an income tax deduction equal to the policy’s cash surrender value.

Estate Planning: Name CCSCT in your will or estate plan. A legacy gift ensures this work continues for generations to come.

Real estate can be an excellent asset to use in charitable giving. Depending on the type of gift, your contribution can provide meaningful support to CCSCT while potentially offering you significant financial benefits—including income tax savings, capital gains tax savings, and estate or gift tax advantages.

Do you hold appreciated stocks in a brokerage account or in certificate form? A gift of publicly traded stock can make a meaningful impact on the Community Council of South Central Texas Inc (Tax ID 74-1541774), while offering potential tax advantages for you.

By donating stock, you may be able to contribute at the full market value of the securities without incurring capital gains tax, and you may also qualify for a charitable deduction on your federal income tax return for the market value at the time of transfer.

Community Council of South Central Texas partners with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services).
CARS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps thousands of nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and Canada increase their fundraising and acquire new contributors through turn-key vehicle and real estate donation programs.
